Fine art nude photography is not images taken by men for men. It is meant to be appreciated by all, putting women on a pedestal for their true beauty – not crass, tacky, confronting or inappropriate – rather the tasteful contrast between the female human form and our social denials.

This remains congruent with Michelangelo who said “What spirit is so empty and blind, that we cannot recognise that the foot is more noble than the shoe, and skin more beautiful than the garment in which it is clothed”. This shapes my belief and vision in portraying the female form in my fine art nude photography.

The black and white genre allows me to follow my passion and contrast the settings and backgrounds used with the female forms in the images. In this way the all-important use of light allows me to highlight particular parts of the human form and allow the viewer to interpret the rest.
