"If Henri Cartier-Bresson had ever shot male nudes, the results would probably have borne a resemblance to Glen Mitchell's work. Mitchell's men are just there; he is not presenting them as icons, nor is he making a comment on their ordinariness. The reportage quality of Mitchell's lighting also harks back to Cartier-Bresson's pioneering work in the thirties. Born in New York in 1959, Mitchell began his relationship with the camera as a model there with the Wilhelmina and Ford agencies.
