Bruce Pharr is an award-winning fine art photographer located in Stockton, California (near San Francisco) U.S.A. His portraits and figure studies have been exhibited at galleries and museums in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay area. According to Bruce, "My figure studies focus on the aesthetics of the human form. I am intrigued by how the perception of the nude figure is as much a factor of the model's movement and personality as his or her body type. Photographing couples multiplies these factors and adds the dynamic of the models' relationship with each other." Technically, I photograph digitally and with high-speed, 35 mm, black & white film. I use Photoshop judiciously to enhance digital images, and I use photo oils and pencils to color black & white and sepia toned silver prints.

I'm a professional photographer who divides my time between San Francisco and the Sierras, which may account for my eclectic tastes and lack of a well-defined style. Born of photographer parents, I of course all but ignored the medium in my youth, and came to appreciate it fully only later in life. So after 20 years as a physicist and engineer, I chucked it all in 2000 to pursue a new career in photography. I have no formal training in photography, but consider myself a life-long artist to whom engineering was a hobby that paid the bills. Indeed, you could say I "backed in" to photography through my art, as I first picked up a camera to record material to paint from, only to discover that photography seemed a better medium to express myself than charcoal or oil paint. My tastes in photography are eclectic; I can't say if I prefer color or B&W; I like stark grainy high-contrast photos as well as muted soft-focus ones. I like weird angles and odd distortions and carefully composed set pieces; I like movement and stillness. So far I've consciously tried to avoid cultivating a particular look of style in my work; for me the fun is in the experiment - the diversity. I prefer digital photography to film because of the flexibility it affords me, both while shooting and in post-processing.

Craig Morey was born in 1952 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, in the Midwestern U.S. In 1974 Morey moved to California, where he and a group of other young photographers founded San Francisco Camerawork, the first nonprofit center for photography on the West Coast. In 1981, Morey left San Francisco Camerawork to pursue a free-lance photography career. His clients since then have included hundreds of magazines, such as Architectural Digest, San Francisco Focus, California Magazine, Interview, Newsweek, Penthouse, Cupido, and the Journal of Erotica.... He also works for corporate clients, including Apple Computer, The Gap, Bechtel Corp., Levi Strauss, Avon, Neutrogena and Wells Fargo Bank. Beginning in 1988, working on assignment for Penthouse, Morey began creating a series of striking black & white nudes which appeared in numerous publications in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Craig Morey lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ken Marcus is an American photographer, known for his glamour photography with Penthouse and Playboy magazines. In 1971 Ken became the first American photographer for Penthouse magazine. His early pictorials involved couples and models photographed through heavy, soft focus diffusion. This technique, while popular during the early part of the 20th century, had not been used in publication since the early 1920s. Ken crafted his own homemade diffusion filters because, at that time, there were none available on the commercial market. In 1974, Ken left Penthouse to become the West Coast Contributing Photographer at Playboy magazine. For 11 years Ken's work was featured regularly in Playboy's 15 international editions, and for eight of those years Ken exclusively photographed the Playboy Calendar. For almost 25 years, Ken was a regularly featured speaker at national photo conventions and expos. His self-titled website, KenMarcus.com, originally opened as a portfolio website in the mid-1990s. Soon thereafter, he opened up his members section, featuring a variety of images he had taken over the years. In addition to more conventional erotic images, Ken's site featured bondage and BDSM images from his book "California Club", published in 1996 in Japan. Eventually, his website focused on BDSM and fetish imagery, a focus that continues to this day.

Kevin Boldenow´s life-long passion for photography began the moment he picked up his parents Brownie camera. Since that time, he has built a career as a professional photographer specializing in 35mm landscape and figurative imagery. In addition to his native Michigan, Boldenow has lived in five states, including Texas, New Jersey, and Virginia, before moving to Florida in 1996.
Inspired by the density and drama of the Florida landscape, Boldenow began to work primarily in black & white, and black & white infrared film, as a way to capture the myriad textures and details found in the overwhelmingly verdant landscape. Unlike color, Boldenow believes that black & white more dramatically reveals the combination of light, heat, and shadows found in the already mystical landscape. In Boldenow’s words, he seeks to instill “a sense of awe of the natural environment and the feeling of serenity we have when we allow ourselves to truly experience the beauty of nature”.
Boldenow’s images make you take careful observation of the subject matter. The subtle beauty captivates your senses. You can almost feel the suns rays playing through the trees, hear the harmonic chorus of morning insects, and experience the smell of moistened earth and dew on the rich foilage. I´m a self made man. I traveled for 25 years, crossed the atlantic twice and organised many Jazz concerts. I took photographies seriously in 1998. I use only digital material for reason of economics.
