Simon Bolz studied design at the Frankfurt Academy of Communication
and Design, where he discovered his interest in photography. Simon
resides in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).
"My photographs focus on a single subject in a single situation and
capture only what's necessary to convey a message that won't
overstimulate you. I believe reduction is the key, as we have to deal with stimulus satiation permanently nowadays.
Single images bore me. This is why I always shoot series of images with
one topic holding them together, telling a story or simply creating a
certain mood.
My photo series are non-commissioned projects. I photograph to express
my creativity and sense for aesthetics. My goal is to exhibit my work in the near future, as I feel the images would look visually striking when blown up and displayed."
